This video shows Eric Schmidt the CEO of Google talking at a Morgan Stanley conference last year. In it he describes succinctly the implications of the exponential growth in the capabilities in digital technology ( Moore's Law et al). The overall message is one of inevitability, the massive changes that are coming are a case of when not if and that it an ongoing process of change rather than a specific event. He also describes how the Google business model is based entirely around advertising and that he wants a large chunk of the 90% of 800bn USD global ad spend that is currently untargetted.
